Dress for Success is an amazing organization that helps at-risk women prepare for job interviews by giving them professional clothes and helping them practice before interviews in order to help these women break the cycle of poverty. This past Friday, March 24th, we volunteered at their location in Allston and helped with sorting and organizing their extensive inventory of clothes, shoes, and accessories. In total, we had about a dozen volunteers from herNetwork come and we were able to help them organize the storage room they had been working on for months! We even had the chance to help out front in the main room where all of their clients look around for their clothes and prepare for their interviews. It was amazing and inspiring to actually get to see women there getting ready for their interviews!

We also learned more about Dress for Success while we were there. Not only do they collect and donate clothes to women-in-need who are going to interviews, but they also help women going to appointments to get better housing or appearing in court to fight for custody. Dress for Success really goes above and beyond to help all women-in-need in the community and we are so happy we were able to help them. Everyone was so friendly and appreciative of our help and we are already looking forward to volunteering with Dress for Success again next semester!
