Kaitlyn Eichinger

Financial Markets Analyst at Fidelity Investment

I’m originally from northern Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky graduating summa cum laude with degrees in Mathematics and Mathematical Economics. I’ve always had an interest and acumen for math but I felt like I needed something more to captivate my attention in a career. Interest in quantitative finance brought me to Boston where graduated with a Master’s of Science in Mathematical Finance from Boston University this past January.

I am currently working with Fidelity Investments as a Financial Markets Analyst within the Financial Markets Group in Corporate Audit. I transitioned into this role from an internship during the summer 2015 within the same group and continued part-time through the fall as I finished my last semester of my graduate program. I’ve really enjoyed the challenges presented to me so far and feel engaged by my responsibilities.

Working as an intern for Fidelity has been my first experience working for a major financial services company; I previously worked as a Process Excellence intern for Xerox Corp. and an Accounting intern for a small specialty chemical company. Through my short 6 months with Fidelity I’ve become acclimated to working for a firm of this size and have enjoyed the day-to-day challenges we take on in order to contribute value and streamline our services.
